Instructions

  1. Protect work area from spills
  2. Clean and dry the surfaces to be glued
  3. Prepare Gorilla Super Glue Gel.With the cap on the bottle, shake the product and turn the bottle upside down and tap it lightly against a hard surface to shake the gel into the spout of the bottle.
  4. Apply Gorilla Super Glue Gel.Remove the lid and apply a very small amount of Gorilla Super Glue Gel to one of the surfaces. A small blob should cover 5-6 square centimeters of surface. The setting time may vary depending on the amount of glue and the type of surface it is used on. If too much glue is used, it can result in delayed or decidedly poor bonding.
  5. Fastening.Press the two surfaces together for 10-30 seconds to achieve bonding. Note that cracks and uneven surfaces may result in longer curing times. For best results, give the glue 24 hours to harden.

FAQ

What happens if I swallow Gorilla Super Glue Gel?

Do not try to induce vomiting. Saliva causes Gorilla Super Glue Gel to polymerize or harden in the mouth, which means that the glue rarely reaches the throat or stomach. If the lips have been glued together, use warm water to gently separate them. The enzymes in the saliva will actually help break the glue, so patience is key.

Do not use acetone or other solvents on or near the mouth. Do not try to pull areas apart as this may cause damage to the skin. Seek medical attention immediately.
Gorilla Super Glue Gel should be kept out of the reach of children and animals.

How do I extend the shelf life of Gorilla Super Glue Gel?

If moisture enters the bottle, it can cause the glue to solidify and harden. The best practice is to cap the glue immediately after application and store it in a cool, dry environment.

There is a metal tip in the lid of Gorilla Super Glue Gel, which ensures a tight closure and keeps the spout free of dried glue.

We recommend not storing Gorilla Super Glue Gel in the fridge. Superglue can give off gases and should therefore not be stored near food.

Why is my bottle of Gorilla Super Glue Gel only half full?

To achieve the best performance and serviceability, the adhesive must be protected from air ingress. One way to do this is to pack it in thick plastic bottles. If the thick plastic bottle was completely filled with glue, it would be too difficult to squeeze the glue out of the bottle.

Can I use Gorilla Super Glue Gel for minor wounds or to repair a broken nail?

Gorilla Super Glue Gel must not be used for intended contact with the skin.

How do I remove Gorilla Super Glue Gel from my skin or project?

To remove Gorilla Super Glue Gel from your skin, soak your skin in warm soapy water. Acetone or nail polish remover can also be used. The most important thing is to be patient and NEVER try to pull the areas apart.

Gently wiggle the area to allow the soapy water or acetone to penetrate the glue. After soaking, the glue should come off easily. Remember that acetone can remove the natural oils that protect your skin, so put moisturizer or other hand cream on your hands afterwards.

To remove Gorilla Super Glue Gel from the surface of your project, soak the project in warm soapy water or acetone. Remember that acetone can damage the surface material or discolour fabrics.

Can Gorilla Super Glue Gel withstand extremely cold temperatures?

Gorilla Super Glue Gel can typically be exposed to temperatures from -40°C to 93°C without breaking down.
However, it should be mentioned that there can be variation in this range, due to the way different substrates expand and contract under extreme temperatures.

Is Gorilla Super Glue Gel heat and water resistant?

Gorilla Super Glue Gel works well in temperatures as high as 93°-104°C. However, prolonged exposure to extreme heat can cause the joint to become compromised. Likewise, too much exposure to water, especially hot water, can compromise the strength of the joint.

Can I use Gorilla Super Glue Gel on paper?

Yes, Gorilla Super Glue works on paper. However, only use small amounts, as it is not acid-free, and therefore not recommended for e.g. collages.

How do I use Gorilla Super Glue Gel?

Gorilla Super Glue Gel is easy to use. It dries in 10-30 seconds and no clamping tools are needed. You simply clean the surfaces of your objects from dirt, dust and grease. Apply a small amount of Gorilla Super Glue Gel (more is not always better - stick to one drop per square centimeter, preferably less). Next, bring your subjects together and hold them together for 10-30 seconds. Note that voids and uneven surfaces may cause an extended curing time.

Your items can be handled gently after 1-5 minutes. Maximum joint strength is achieved after 24 hours.

After you have bought Gorilla Super Glue Gel, remember to save the packaging for tips and instructions.

How does Gorilla Super Glue Gel differ from the original Gorilla Glue?

Gorilla Super Glue Gel is a cyanoacrylate, where Gorilla Glue is polyurethane-based. Different from Gorilla Glue, Gorilla Super Glue Gel does not require longer exposure or moisture for activation. It does not foam when curing. It is also recommended to use Gorilla Super Glue Gel for indoor use. Gorilla Super Glue Gel is ideal for minor repairs that require immediate joining and projector where tensioning is not necessary.

How is Gorilla Super Glue Gel different from normal super glue?

Gorilla Super Glue Gel is reinforced with rubber to secure your projects with a less fragile joint. This helps your projector achieve a certain impact resistance. We call it Impact-Tough®.

How is Gorilla Super Glue Gel different from Gorilla Super Glue?

Gorilla Super Glue Gel is a thicker and more controllable version of Gorilla Super Glue. It is good for vertical gluing and projectors where precision is an important factor.
