FAQ

What is the difference between Gorilla Tape and regular duct tape?

We took a regular duct tape and made it better. We make it twice as thick, and use 2-3 times as much rubber-based adhesive.

Is Gorilla Glue used as an adhesive on Gorilla Tape?

No, they are two different adhesives. Gorilla Glue is a polyurethane adhesive and the adhesive used on Gorilla
Tape is specially made for the tape.

Are there different qualities of Gorilla Tape?

No. We have a uniquely strong and long-lasting formula.

Is Gorilla Tape waterproof?

We have found that Gorilla Tape lasts much longer than regular duct tape when it comes into contact with moisture. Make sure the surface is dry before you apply the tape, and then we're sure you'll figure it out yourself.

Who Should Buy Gorilla Tape?

Anyone who wants a quality tape that is stronger and lasts longer.

1. Do-it-yourselfers who know their efforts justify using better tools and materials.

2. Professionals who know that quality materials have an impact on a business's reputation.

3. The "Just-give-me-the-best" person - someone with demanding tasks or where it is difficult to have to reapply tape.

Does Gorilla Tape work on rough surfaces?

Yes! Gorilla Tape is designed to stick to rough surfaces including wood, stucco, plaster, brick, metal and more. Gorilla Tape is produced with a highly concentrated rubber-based adhesive – two to three times as thick as regular duct tape. The result is a tape that fills the holes and penetrates rough surfaces. It is important to clean the surface and brush away all loose particles and dirt before applying Gorilla Tape.

Can Gorilla Tape be used instead of electrical insulating tape?

Gorilla Tape should not be used as an electrical insulating tape.

How do I use Gorilla Tape?

The surfaces must be clean and dust-free. We recommend rubbing the tape thoroughly into the surface. This will help to achieve a stronger bond.

Can I remove Gorilla Tape?

Gorilla Tape can be removed, but with some difficulty and it may leave adhesive residue. To remove any residue, we recommend using Gorilla Tape to "pull" the residue off.

How do I store Gorilla Tape?

To maintain the adhesive quality, Gorilla Tape is best stored in a dry and cool place. Should be kept out of direct sunlight. Try storing the tape vertically (rather than lying flat), on a hook or on wax paper. If you have several rolls, leave the excess in the packaging until needed.

What temperature range does Gorilla Tape require?

Gorilla Tape works best at temperatures above 0°C. For best results, always apply the tape at room temperature.

Does freezing and thawing affect Gorilla Tape?

No - if Gorilla Tape freezes, it will work fine as soon as it reaches room temperature again.
